Emma’s very first sunflower design for Moorcroft was inspired by the view from her desk at home- a view into her neighbour’s garden where ‘Helios Flame’ sunflowers added both warmth and stature. Helianthus annuus is a beautiful bicolour sunflower with warm, golden petals darkening to rich mahogany brown around a large dark centre. Held on tall, sturdy stems, they look particularly spectacular in cottage gardens and as a bonus, in the autumn, the seedheads bring birds of every kind and colour flocking to the garden.
